Are ZM-X products registered with the US EPA?

One of the ZM-X products is approved by US EPA (FIFRA 25b) and ready to use today. We are currently seeking EPA approval for the other two. Because the toxicity and environmental fate of all ZM-X products are well understood, an additional advantage of this technology is its registrability as a molluscicide. 

 

Where can ZM-X products be applied?

ZM-X products can be applied in irrigation systems, power facilities, drinking water treatment plants, and can be used to decontaminate boats and boating equipment to name a few.

 

Are ZM-X products readily available? 

Yes. They are readily available and can meet the entire US and Canadian market.

Are they environmentally compatible?

Yes. ZM-X products degrade rapidly under ambient water conditions, there are no toxicity build-up concerns, and they are non-toxic to mammals, birds, and aquatic organisms.

Are ZM-X products compatible with construction materials and safe for workers?

Yes. The active ingredients in ZM-X products are found in many of the foods and beverages we consume in higher concentrations than would be applied. These active ingredients are compatible with most construction materials.

Will ZM-X products have long-term impacts to our water supply like other broad-spectrum biocides?

No. ZM-X products are non-persistent and readily biodegrade.

Will ZM-X products need to be quenched/detoxified with bentonite clay or sulfites?

No. ZM-X products can be safely discharged without detoxification. Our regulatory staff will work with the NPDES permitting agency that regulates discharges from your facility.
